First edition of the Asian Street Food Festival at the Vincennes pagoda
Last June, the first edition of the Asian Street Food Festival took place at the Grande Pagode de Vincennes. At the initiative of this project are officials of Evaan Market, which promotes and distributes Cambodian products in France, including those of Confirel, Banh Mi Podcast and the Association of Young Chinese in France.
"We have the same vision and the same goal," Dara of Evann Market said on her site. Make our voices emerge, that of this new generation of Asians with a dual culture, in order to be able to highlight our origins, our wealth, our cultures. And with this festival, we have taken a step forward. When I think about it, it's both crazy and yet simple. In the space of a month, and starting from scratch, we succeeded. [We] contacted the restaurateurs, and everyone was motivated and excited about the idea of this festival. For some, it was their first experience of outdoor service. So it was a new challenge for them, a way to push their limits. They also delivered the best of themselves, in joy and good humor. Many countries were represented in the stands, even if we had absentees. This is also the objective of the next edition: we will make sure to represent everyone. »
